When I was reading the lifestyle section of the Philippine Daily Inquirer yesterday, I stumbled upon an article that caught my attention. It was regarding Sandra Bullock's outfits for the past awards nights such as The Academy, Oscar's and SAG. Surprisingly, part of all her outfits were miniadures from Crispin and Basilio.
Crispin and Basilio? Aren't those the names of the children of Sisa? For those who doesn't know who Sisa is, she's famous character from Jose Rizal's Noli Me Tangere. Aside from being characters from the novel, Crispin and Basilio is also a brand name of a fast rising fashion line by our very own Donny Barrios.
Apparently, Sandra Bullock has been using this brand for two years now. And among the various bags that was sent to her to choose from, she chose three bags from Crispin and Basilio. Right after the awards night, tons of people started inquiring about the bags that she used.
I'm so happy and proud that one of our fellowmen made it big internationally. It really inspires me to push through with my dreams and aspirations.
